Good fun for the kids and family alike. If you have younger children go before evening so the music and videos aren't inappropriate for them. Fun arcade games as well as tenpin bowling.
The establishment was decent, clean enough and everything worked as is should.However, we had paid for an hour bowling. The kids and I got our shoes, but had to wait about 15 minutes for my husband to arrive. So we did not activate our bowling station.Well, we found out, when our time was cut short, that they activate your time when you get your shoes. So, it felt a little disappointing and dishonest. It would be nice to know that sort of thing. Especially, when I told the women at the desk that we had to wait for someone.
6/28/2018Hockey team night out... Was super fun! We were in Edmonton from out of town for a hockey tournament and needed a place that could feed and entertain our players and parents. It was a busy Friday night, we had 18 players, plus siblings and parents so we needed a large place that could seat and feed us all. We also needed enough fun things to entertain a range of ages,,, We all bowled a couple games together, the kids played laser tag and the parents could sit and relax with some yummy food and adult beverages. The staff were attentive and service was quick, food was good and we were checked on through the evening to see how things were going. Thanks to all the staff for their friendliness and patience! It sounds like they are starting to do some renovations and updating, but it was still a great environment for us. We had called several other places that all turned us down because of our groups size - Gateway was great with our booking.
Been bowling with our family here and my son just attended a birthday party that had the laser tag. He told me they had a blast. I like the options of different activities here. Very nice atmosphere.
Emma our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. We never had to ask for our drinks to be refilled, or if we needed anything. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. As it was our first time there, she took the time to explain to us what Gateway had to offer! We will be returning when we come back to Edmonton again!
