Really enjoy this place. Always have a good time when i go. The clowns, basketball nets, and shooters are a ton of fun. Mostly throwing balls at clowns. Id like to see some of the lifesize cell phone games replaced with games you cant download on your phone, but there is still plenty to do and see here for everyone.
The staff were really helpful. Food was great. Staff were cleaning arcades regularly and walking around to ensure everything was in check with the machines. It's great if you have time during the day because it's not that busy. If you have a day off consider going with the family, get a card with $30 on it which would give you approximately 120 tokens (at time if posting). Make sure you keep track of your card... Sometimes the wristband loosens up. They sell better wristbands if you feel like you're going to be a regular. Have fun.
Decided to visit The Rec Room last night after an amazing dinner with my business team and everyone of us had a blast! What I really admire about this place and what appealed to me the most is how the point and ticket system works! Visiting from Toronto and after seeing how The Rec Room has its system in place Im not quite sure if any other adult arcade has something like that in my city! Upon arrival you are given a wrist band with a small and sleek reloadable scan card where it holds and tracks all your point credits as well as how many tickets you won from each game! (All automatic, no walking around with a handful or bucketful of paper tickets which is really excellent).The whole layout of the gaming establishment is well done and impressive with so many options for anyone to have a fun time! Only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because I didnt get to try out all the sections they had to offer. We were there for only a short time and since we all were so full from our dinner before I personally couldnt check out the food and dinning section!
I am not rating this two stars because the Rec Room isn't fun. Although I guess it depends on what your definition of fun is. There is a wide variety of things to do and you could definitely spend hours there. The food was also VERY good given the fact that a restaurant is not necessarily the main attraction.The two stars is because this was by far the worst customer service experience I have had in quite a while. Everything from the initial reservation for the gathering we were hosting, right down to the way each person was treated by the primary server in charge. Many of our friends left with a negative opinion of this place after our experience.
I attended a musical show here and it was my first visit to The Rec Room. The first impression was in the parking lot, I found a spot to part with ease, I suspect the fact that it was a Sunday night contributed to that happy result. The second impression was trying to get into the building, there were 5 or 6 smokers standing right in front of the entrance, there was no way of going in without negotiating the haze of smoke. For a person with lung issues such as myself this was not a good thing, I would like a well defined no smoking zone clearly marked and butt catchers so the debris isn't just thrown on the sidewalk. Once inside we found a massive entertainment complex. We checked in and got our wristbands and went to the bar to get a glass of water and a glass of Coca-Cola, they charged us for both whereas Union Hall and The Starlite Room usually give me free pop and water, unless I buy a bottle of water which then costs money. The concert venue was large with nice comfortable chairs and good sight lines. There were good acoustic treatments and the sound was generally good, I could nit-pick but I won't. The concert was good and we left with a mediocre first impression. I would gladly come again because the music aspect was very positive.
