Had my first experience at UAH, and it is a wonderfully clean place. NP Melissa Harriott took care of me, and I was in great hands! I had an excellent experience!! The nurses were great, too.
They kick the sick people out. Horrible doctors and they dont treat any patient. Un orginezed and confusing. We are citizens and we should receive care when we needed and not just kick us out and not help or treat anything.
Hospital staff, most nurses in the ward I was on, decided that starving a patient for more than 60 hours was for the best. I was spoken about negatively but the same hospital staff when I attempted to be treated in a dignified manner and was told things such as "what do you expect, it is a hospital" or when the nurses felt I could not hear them were overheard saying malicious and untrue statements about myself including "she is not worth it." After I finally get surgery from coming in due to an emergency, I will update.
I'd like to thank the nurse who flipped her hair and gossips with ems all night for how polite she was when telling me she couldn't give more medication to the patient who's condition was worsening in the waiting room... yep that's awesome Just letting people puke in garbage cans while others just watch and get infected too... good job nurse giggles! Real professional
