Excellent park. It is really large with open fields, pathways, benches, and water features. The off leash park is a great walk and lots of friendly people.
The approach road needs big time makeover. Never seen such broken roads in any park in Calgary. The park itself is nice with lots of green trees and the stock trout pond area is beautiful. Good walking and biking trails.
Tons of parking. Nice spot to spend the day with the family. We usually go fishing and its always quiet and people really do seem to pick up after themselves. They have bbq pits and big fields to play in. There is a public bathroom and portapotties scattered around the grounds.
Love going here with my baby! People are awesome and the dogs are great. It's a great park to go if you want to get away from the city. You can take your dog down to the river to cool them off. Lots of spots to stop. Just needs more trash cans. Also coyotes do live there so be careful
Could use more shade along the main trail and benches. Nice open space for dogs to run, play, and visit. Access to the river for dogs to swim and cool off. Stay clear of the large pond area if your dog runs into any water it sees because the water is pretty stinky and it's a nasty ride home. I wonder if parks could put in more portapotties for humans along the trail? It would make the experience much better for many.
