I really enjoy this park. Its kind of on a main street but no one really goes here. At least not the times I went. Quiet. Central. Lush green, great for runs, fire, volleyball or just a nice walk.
I really wanted to enjoy a visit to the park. Three things stopped me. One was that an event was on and ALL of the parking was marked private and cops were shooing people away without giving them any idea where they could go to catch the event busses. The signage didn't help.Second, we went downtown to try to find a place to park that we could walk a trail to get to Victoria park. Both of us have trouble with our feet so we were looking for less than a 15min walk. There is nowhere. All of the trails back into Victoria park loop around and go through the Legislature. The legislature had no parking because of their own event. So, although I like the park for size and love some of the events that seem attracted to it, I will probably never be able to go to an event there.
Really enjoyed the Alberta All British Car Field Meet. Victoria Park is the ideal venue. It was a great day.
Great place to relax. Transport a picnic hear and camp fire. Not so great when therebis no one to share it with. Later I had an archery class here. It seems to have never been repeated. This is on the northside of the North Sasketchewan.
What a beautiful park. Playgrounds for the kids, walking paths, areas to picnic and lots of parking options. Definitely want to go again.
