I went to the salon mainly because of the groupon, but I would definitely come again even without that option! Its a beautiful salon with a relaxing feel. The reception was good- maybe a little lack lustre and unfriendly but still ticked most of the bases for me. I felt like the stylist really listened to me and understood the idea of what I wanted well. (My stylist was great, I cant remember her name though). My treatment included a scalp massage which was kinda weird so if youre not really a person who doesnt like to be touched (like me) just skip that option. It also included a cut, wash, and style.The haircut went well and I like the way she styled it at the end. I didnt think she quite got my bangs right but theyre passable with the right styling. Overall, I quite enjoyed my experience and will be returning!
I loved the feel of Dandy when I walked in the door. It's beautiful. My stylist was awesome. I think her name is Kylie. She gave me a haircut then I came in later to get my roots done. She is lovely. Very easy to talk to and loves her job. It shows in how much care she put into everything. She is very knowledgeable about the Aveda products. Totally recommend and I cannot wait to go back. :)
Candace is a goddess for those with crazy thick hair.The reception staff are always professional and efficient, and attend to me as soon as they can. They always offer me a beverage while I wait for Candace to perform her magic on my unruly mane. (The Avenda tea is great!). The space is always clean, bright, and it always smells nice too. Candace is simply amazing. She is the first hair dresser in years that I felt comfortable enough to go back to. I've been her client for about half a year or so, and I have not gone to anyone because I know she has the skill to cut thick thick hair.She is friendly, professional, and always take your opinion/needs into account before cutting your hair. But I'd your want her professional advice, she will always be open to giving you get professional opinion, as well as her reasoning behind so. Also, even though some may see this is trivial, she ALWAYS lets me run my fingers through my hair before taking the apron off to see if there's anywhere in my hair that I want to be thinned out more. I always walk out of the salon feeling super happy with my hair.10/10 would recommend. Ask for Candace if you want her to work her magic. Note: she is a Director level stylist, so her prices are a bit more. I take advantage of the 20% student discount on Wednesdays and usually book my appointments accordingly to help offset the cost a bit.
Went for a cut and style yesterday. The guy that help me was so nice, and funny. The atmosphere was nice and clean. I will definitely be back. I didn't like that I couldn't use a gift certificate from Wayspa, nor my groupon for the salon service. But hopefully I can use them for one of their spa options. They look amazing.
I had three services done over 3 days and each person I had interacted with were spot on amazing for talent. I would highly recommend them if your need any services!
