Cannot book pickup for U-Box directly through site. Had a fair amount of dust on everything. Some was to be expected, but not the volume I found when moving and unpacking it. Book movers directly, as I saved $200+ between admin and other fees they'd have charged me otherwise, and the mover I initially tried booking couldn't even haul my trailer, which isn't specified or any other important details when booking help. You can get far cheaper, and more convenient storage/moving solutions elsewhere. U-Haul does NOT pro-rate, despite only having used a week into September, so they're now double-dipping with rent. Offered credit, but that would essentially lock me into them again since I'd be greatly inconvenienced by using it, then have to pay to move my things elsewhere when that credit ran out.Customer service was decent when I used it to book a trailer, though I booked to have a hitch for one, and got a call telling me it was suddenly being done for 1:30, despite movers being there for 1. Facility seemed to be in okay condition.
Booked an auto transport for 8AM on Friday a week on advance, when I got there they said they wouldn't have the trailer till 1 and there where no other ones in the city. So I went to flaman and got a better trailer with zero heads up. Avoid at all costs.
Excellent service. My experience was quick and hassle-free. I went straight to uhaul from the airport and was in and out within 20 minutes (including waiting in line). My return took less than 5 minutes. The staff there are also really friendly and quite funny. I rented a cargo van for 24 hours and the total came to $51 with distance, environmental fee, and taxes. It's much cheaper than renting a car, especially if you're under 25 like me because there is no young driver fee.
None of their computers work. I was trying to pick up a trailer (6x12) and the staff barely knew what they were doing they kept having to ask other people for help. They also told me I couldnt tow a 6x12 on my hitch when my hitch has a 3500lb rating.... I would suggest going to a different Uhaul! Took 30 minutes for them to refund my money!
I have remted from this location a few times and the service has always been prompt and my vehicle always there ready to go. Also had no problems with after hours check in even though I didn't do it correctly, they still took care of it.
