In my opinion the most important part of choosing a mechanic is trust. I know little about the inner workings of my vehicle so trusting what they tell me is important. In the 5+ years I've been servicing my vehicles with Dalzell's I have never regretted money I've spent. Yes, sometimes it is expensive - but vehicle maintenance is expensive, this is just a fact of life. They don't cut corners, but they also run their shop as efficiently as possible to avoid passing on unnecessary costs to the customer. If I wanted to do the bare minimum I could go to a drive through oil and lube, but that's not going to be beneficial for my car long term. The team here values the long-term health of your vehicle and make suggestions based upon that. When I don't understand the service/part they are recommending they take as much time as needed to walk me through it and explain it to me. They are very straightforward about helping you rank the recommend services in order of importance - what can wait until next service and what needs to happen now? All of their recommendations are important for your vehicle, but they do understand that customers don't have an unlimited budget. I have also never once had a bill come in higher than their estimate once they know what work is required. They aim to be accurate. It is a family run business that understands that repeat business is important and I personally would never take my car anywhere else. I've also recommended then to friends who now also go there exclusively.
I took my car in to replace the thermostat in my car. The guy at the front desk was very knowledgeable and kind, didn't talk down to me, and even lend me a rental vehicle so I could go run my errands. There mechanics did an excellent job. The only reason I took away a star was because it is more pricey here. But overall I was happy with my experience.
I was brought up to take my car into the dealership whenever something goes wrong. However when I took mine into the local dealership they seemed more concened about selling me a new car then trying to find a solution to what was wrong with mine. My best friend managed to get me hooked up with Dazell's Auto Repair. From Duncan to Jeff to Mike I received excellent service. We ended up having to replace the whole engine. It was cheaper then the service that was quoted from the dealership by about $1500.00. They also made sure I was aware of the upcoming service required. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with Dalzells. It's nice to have someone actually care about your safety and how to make your vehicle last longer. Thanks Guys. :)
excellent service and workmanship. usually always work on my own vehicles but didn't have proper tools to perform some repairs on my newer truck. they were very professional and explained properly what they were going to do and how. also looked into a couple of other issues i was having with truck and found the problem that i would of never found (wiring issue). they ph regularly and updated me on progress and any new issues they found. they then explained how they were going to fix it and approx cost. truly very professional and very reasonably priced outfit. would recommend in a heartbeat.
