Gold Bar Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Edmonton both in summer and winter. Wonder why the ponds have been allowed to dry up? Results in less wildlife.
Dont let the drive past the wastewater treatment plant deter you from this park. Once in the parking lot you have access to beautiful trails, both paved and dirt. The autumn views in the park provide a great backdrop for photos, hikes and picnics. Cross the bridge and youre over in Rundle Park, another worthwhile place to visit.
Visited today. This site is off a day or week etc. Beautiful park for walking and cross country skiing. However the city must want the property for something as there are signs everywhere" SAVE GOLD BAR PARK". Lets all save this gem in the city. I see no purpose in tearing it up. It is hilly and quiet and i am sure full of birds as I could hear them even this time of year.
It was great an healthy. It really cleared my mind walking them paths. Truly a beauty
One of the great parks of Edmonton's river valley stretch. Always come here for walks, cross country skiing, picnics and camp style fires. Lots of room for kids to play or adults. We played capture the flag one year and it was a lot of fun.
