Add a couple bucks to the price of products, add some fancy lighting and signage, make sure you tell your employees to stare at what customers are doing and don't greet them at all and you are all set to run your very own City Market. This place was dead when I went for groceries. Arrived to find a very confusing store layout seemingly drawn up by a child with a mental handicap. Essential products like tomatoes, bacon, baking yeast etc. were all empty... One single choice for buns, and most other products. Annoying bumpers on all the permanent displays will have you frothing at the mouth while they snag the wheels of your cart continously while you navigate the tight aisles. I just walked out. Zero stars. Will never return.
Cheese and bakery area are amazing. Store is very nice. Ready to go food section is large with many culinary options. This store has a wider selection of high end items than most Loblaws stores . Therefore regular items also cost a bit more sometimes.
Great patisserie selection. So great it inspired me to try my hand at baking some of these delicious desserts, so after grabbing everything I thought I needed to start a new culinary adventure, I came across one big flaw in their selection. They have isles dedicated for baking ingredients, spices, even BBQ spices, but the one item they lacked that put a stop to my newest challenge was NO MEASURING SPOONS. Sushi is pretty good also.
Very interesting grocery store, they have a slicing machine for the bread so it's your size, a sushi bar, a well stocked butcher, deli, and plenty others. And a wall just for cheese. And plenty of cheesecake. Little trouble finding the exit, and prices are a bit higher than the other grocery stores in the city.
This is probably one of the most poorly managed grocery stores I've ever been to. Yes, it is new and beautiful but that is about the only thing going for it. Poor selection of most items, consistently out of stock of even the most basic items, produce section is often a disaster (messy, constantly out of stock or simply not being restocked) there are never carts or baskets available at the main entrance, and the 2 instances where I asked for help finding an item no one knew where it was or if they even had it and I had to follow someone around each aisle...employees aren't at fault here, very obviously poor management.
