Very nice bakery. European style cakes, cheesecakes, pastries and cookies. There is also the most delicious bread there. Definitely worse a try.
Their sour dough bread is the best I have ever eaten in this country when I lived in Edmonton. Their sour dough starter in their recipe must likely be the best recipe around. I highly recommend people to go there.
Nice neighbourhood bakery. On a weekend go there early or youll face having to wait a while or be forced to buy leftovers as all the good stuff get sold out. I recommend there breads not so much their desserts-some lack any real taste. Love their chalka though!
Although breads and cakes are nice, the fact that this bakery refuses to give up their styrofoam packaging, makes me think they do not deserve more than two stars. Styrofoam is one of the worst carcinogenic plastics, that no respectable business is using anymore. In addition to being a health hazard, it takes styrofoam several hundreds of years to break down in a landfield. Another problem are cake samples - anybody can touch everything, no napkins, and you have to pick a sample with your hands. You can do better Batyk Bakery!
