Great location. Some weird staff, and some decent staff. The prices are rather high, but normal for a higher end salon. Staff seem knowledgable and appear willing to correct issues that may not have went as planned
I was excited to be able to get in quickly without an appointment for hair colouring (I have a regular hair dresser that I usually go to off of whyte ave, but it was convinient to do it there as I was waiting for relatives that were shopping at the mall from out of town). I needed something pretty simple done (that Ive done myself at home before for less than $20, but I wanted something more permanent and professional). The colour in my tips had faded and I wanted to just cover it with a plain dark brown, which is what my natural hair colour is (Ive done it also professionally before, and believe me, its not more than $150 including removing of other colours and haircut, which I didnt need nor did this time around). $230 dollars later (for no foils or nothing fancy what so ever)and shirt and pants stained with the dye because they didnt use any robe on me either since probably they thought it wasnt necessary because they did all the work at the hair washing station (which I thought it was great and time saving at the time before knowing how much they were going to charge me for it), I feel totally ripped off. I have to admit that i do have a lot of hair and fairly long, so I know that they have to use more product than usual, but literally what they did was a glorified shampooing of my hair with the dye (which by the way turned out quite darker than my actual hair tone which was very visible in most of my hair). My only hope is that this dye is magical and will never fade...?
Spa is showing some wear. Massage therapist Angela was fantastic. Other staff all very friendly. Scrub was advertised as 50minutes. Got 8 minutes of scrub time, 30 minutes to shower and then 10 minutes for lotion application. Would just get a massage next time.
The most amazing colour, put up with my drunk self, also offered Champaign. When I had a headache gave me Tylenol and a head massage. As for Ali! You wont be disappointed.
Levi at Rain is amazing! She always has ideas for hairstyles and colours that suit my hair type (very fine). This time she did a beautiful Balayage for me. I wouldn't even consider seeing another stylist. Whenever I leave the salon, I feel like a new person!
