Light, airy, friendly. Decent fair. Daytime place only. A business that believes in kindness. Buy a button for 3dollars and put it in the button jar. Others (u) can use a button for a beverage or food. Great bathrooms. Family friendly. Fair selection of sweet and savory goods.

Coffee is good and the food is good, but the place has a cold feeling to it - concrete floors and hard chairs and the air temperature felt a little cooler than a typical cafe. I didn't remove my parka. Its downtown location also contributed to the homeless people coming in or hanging around outside the cafe. Overall a bit of a weird experience.

I went here for a business meeting recently and I fell in love with it. The Nook is a really lovely space with good, reasonably priced coffee and lots of yummy treats. They also have a small area with some toys for the little ones.I can't wait to bring my toddler here... And if you have a toddler, you know there's not a lot of cafes that you'll say that about!

The Nook is an incomparably welcoming space. Affirming, inclusive, and trauma-informed, the Nook is place for any human to come, feel safe, and consume top-notch coffee and delicious food. Even if your pockets are empty, their suspended coffee program guarantees you a safe place to sit with a warm drink in your hands. The management and staff believe deeply in loving and protecting all their neighbours, and that love positively radiates from every piece of this place. I only rated this 5 stars because Google wouldn't let me add any more

Google says theres play area so should be kids friendly but there were no floor mats or even basic brooming done.. there were hair clots and bread bits on the floor - the owner asked us to park the stroller outside and put a 7 month old in a high chair that was so dirty that I had to clean myself. When we wanted to park the stroller after asking the server we parked on the side but the main lady came back to us at a louder tone to park it all out. We came to celebrate a friends birthday all dressed yellow as that would go with the cafe theme but the owner was least interested or even kind to acknowledge the customer effort for their business. I accept we brought in a cake which was wrong but she said they have their own pastries that we can buy but there were NO PASTRIES on display. The setup was good and pretty decent to blog and take pictures but the customer service (except the little girl taking the orders) and cleanliness is a ZERO.
