A cafe with great ambience for coffee dates, and studying. There's limited plug ins but they are welcoming of people going there to study or to work on things on their laptops. Very friendly staff, decors are pleasant, music is enjoyable, and coffee is great (they offer refills for their brewed coffee for a small price). Tip: head there early during weekends to avoid the rush at noon, if you're looking forward to a quieter time. Street parking only, but it's free in residential area.
Up until 2 weeks ago, I would have given woodrack a 5 star rating. I have been coming here regularly for about a year, and the service has been great. Recently, they've brought in some employees who do not meet the same standard as they used to. As well, they have cut portion sizes on food but not changed the price... why would I pay $4.50 for a 1/3 serving of coffee cake. They may be worried about profit margins, but they should also worry about bad business practices. Very disappointed lately and I won't be coming here regularly anymore unless something changes.
Fantastic staff yummy food! The tomato bisque and the gluten-free chocolate peanut butter chips are literally mouthwatering! Always the warmest friendliest staff who even sing beautiful Tunes in the middle of the day spontaneously! My only suggestion is to see if there's any more room for more seats! LLOLOL just cuz they're popular!
This is one of my favorite coffee shops that happens to have some stellar soup & sandwich combos. The daily offerings are usually limited to a handful of choices but they are wonderfully prepared. Some great coffee and tea options as well. Well worth a visit. Parking can be difficult but try around back.
Probably my favourite cafe in the city. Great atmosphere which makes it easy to get a coffee and some food and relax with friends. Several comfy chairs to relax in although I wish they had more. The deserts are amazing but I'm not a huge fan of the sandwiches, and the chips that come with them are down right boring.
