We believed insurance is insurance before working with Allstate and Amanda Smith. We always went with the smaller brokers believing the big companies charged more and just spent all our money on advertising to get more of it. Not only did Allstate save us money, but our premiums have continued to go down as we renew with the company, and even more important, the proactive service we received. One of our rental properties had some aluminum wiring. Our home inspector, building inspector, and contractors had all said its perfectly fine and not to worry. Allstate required us to have another more specific and thorough inspection, which quite frankly pissed me off. Upon that inspection, multiple connections were found that had fried out due to incorrect transition between old aluminum and newer copper devices, posing significant fire risk. One of them was even in the bedroom our kids used to sleep when we had lived there. Service has become exponentially more important when I shop for companies now, and I encourage anyone considering Allstate or Amanda Smith to sign on because you dont know what you dont know, and having a company that will bring that to your attention is worth the world, and in our case potentially saved lives.
That company is not serious I did a request to cancel my insurance with them it been 2 months, they never cancel it and even charge me on my credit even though I requested to cancel the insurance. The ridiculous part is, I still haven't had my refunds back yet.
This review is for Esurance Canada, who is backed by Allstate. I have had horrible service and would strongly recommend to anyone NOT to use this company as insurers. I had a policy with Esurance in the past so when I recently bought a new truck and was looking to insure it with someone else I had to call for a claims history letter. After waiting on hold for 37 minutes I finally had my call answered. I had a small balance of $20 left on my previous policy so I attempted to pay it. The agent on the phone had no clue how to authorize a credit card payment and after being put on hold twice and waiting for an additional 15 minutes the payment finally went through. I then asked for the claims letter to be emailed to me. I was informed it would take up to 24 hours. Prior to this I had to call AMA for a claims history as well and this was emailed to me while I was still on the phone with the rep. As an internet insurer I would assume Esurance should be able to accommodate this request as quickly if not quicker than a standard insurer like AMA. After waiting 24 hours with no email I called Esurance back. I was now informed it could actually be 24-48 hours, causing me to be unable to insure my new vehicle for several days. The people I dealt with on the phone were rude and extremely unhelpful. I will never use Allstate or Esurance again and will strongly recommend to anybody I know looking for an insurer to avoid them and find a company with some actual customer service
I am beyond scared and shocked with the unprofessional attitude of AllState Agent, Lan Bui. Lan Bui did our quote for Home and Auto Insurance. She went from work related into personal attitudes and relationships with her customers too. She got personal with customers and family. That went really bad.She does not care about her work or reputation as an AllState Agent. She only care about Personal Social Media and Partying. I am beyond shocked with the poor customer service out and at work. There nothing holding her back work in her office. She will say anything. There are no filters. Don't bother telling or giving the Manager, Melissa feedback. Lan Bui will lied. She is not a trusted Insurance Agent. She never on time at work when All State Agent Office Opened. She will not get you a cheaper Insurance as promised. She does not care about Work. No professional inside or outside work.
