TONS of computers to use, which is great. But in the afternoon, it gets pretty busy. The basement, 3rd, and 4th floors are dead quiet which is good sometimes. 2nd floor is only insanely noisy in the afternoons. During the mornings, I prefer 2nd floor because there is comfortably low noise and talking enough to make you feel relaxed. Room bookings are great too, but sometimes seem a little unorganized due to students not showing up/mistakes in booking. The group rooms are also not very soundproof.
Great studying space, if you prefer a quiet environment...go to the 4th floor....the other floors can get really noisy
Great library for studying, 3rd and 4th floors (4th is a bit better due to more desks and computers to get stuff done) are the best as they are silent floors, 2nd and 1st are common floors so theyre a good place to work on group projects or homework where you can tolerate some background noise. Free chargers on first floor. Basement/first floor open 24 hrs.
This library is awesome. It has all the resources a U of A student needs. The library has quit study spaces in the basement and on the third and fourth floor. Furthermore, the main floor has 2D printers, 3D printers and staplers, and If you want to study overnight the basement and main floor are open 24/7. Moreover, If you need a computer, there are public computers on every floor except the third floor. Lastly, the bulk of the books are mainly on the third and fourth floor.
Excellent resource collection! Fantastic staff! Positive experience all round.
