What a great spot to satisfy the craving for some good good southern BBQ. I want to get the chicken or brisket each time because it looks so good but can never get past the pulled pork platter. It gets me every time! The best surprise of all are the amazing beans! Thats hard to believe I know but just go there and try them for yourself. TIP: get the cornbread, beans, slaw and ribs, wash them down with a cold drink, then skip work and just lounge around in pure satisfaction and gluttony! Ive tried it and it worked for me! Better yet, get them to cater and dive in right at home!
Had a great meal of BBQ goodness at Fired Up. We were promptly greeted by a friend gentleman who explained the menu and the different offerings we could get. I got the half rack of ribs and quarter chicken with sides of baked beans, mac and cheese and the sweet iced tea and my fiancee got the brisket sandwich. Our meals had generous portions, great smoked flavour, juicy and tender meat, and solid value compared to other BBQ places in the city. Definitely recommend if you're looking for solid BBQ and a great price! Didn't take a picture of my food because I was too excited to dig in
Didn't think much when we walked in. Tiny little place. BUT!The food was Amazing! Hubby had the ribs and 3 sides. So Good. I had the pulled chicken sandwich with a side of homemade beans. I couldn't eat it fast enough! So so good! Super nice guy, and food is homemade hot and ready to eat. He dishes you up, you eat! So fast! We will definitely be back!!
It's that "hole in the wall" restaurant you've been searching for to have some really good BBQ.
The second you step in the door the mouthwatering scent hits you. It tastes every bit as good as it smells and is cooked to perfection, I will be back. The only thing I would change is to maybe have the place open a little later when a show is going on at Union Hall which is next door. I came in before the show and they were just closing up, I saw a lot of people try to open the locked door as i was finishing my food. Exceptional friendly service and food that backs it up.
