The location of the hotel is great for going out because there is a lot of restaurants/night life within walking distance. The people we interacted with we're friendly and professional. There is a nice bar area. The only thing keeping this from a five star review is that, as far as I know there is not an option to park your car anywhere remotely convenient for less than $30 per night.
Visited last night for dinner. The menu isn't very diverse, but not bad for a quick bite. They have sandwiches, wraps, fish and chips, pasta, soup... Salad. I ordered butter chicken and it had good taste but it was super spicy for tastes bud that can't manage spices. It wasn't listed as spicy, so I ordered inadvertently. I hated it! I was hungry as a street dog and even though I got my belly filed, I only made it by drinking all the water available. I hated eating just because I was hungry. Oh! I had asked for a lentil soup and a salad as appetizers, I forgot. The salad was great (the one with cranberries) but the soup was salty and light. I was expecting some sort of cream. Nope, it was very liquid. My friends ordered the pasta, wraps, some other chicken and they were happy. My husband and I ate 2 lentil soups, 1 salad, 1 butter chicken, 1 pasta and no drinks for $100. Gratitude was included ($18%). I can't finish without saying, it was EXTREMELY cold, it was raining outside (summer) and everyone in the table (8 people) was freezing. Very uncomfortable. Some other day I guess would be nice to seat in the patio.
Beautiful hotel, with beautiful and affordable rooms and beautiful views of the river valley. No complaints here at all. Everything worked, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I see needing a change was the lack of advertising for their valet service. When you pull into the hotel's parking lot, you are first greeted with a pay toll, where you use credit card to pay a ridiculously expensive fee to park your car for a few hours or overnight. Little did I know that as a patron of the hotel, I could've had a valet park my car in a private lot for literally half of what I payed the toll booth. Other than that though, perfect hotel experience, will absolutely stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel right next to the Shaw Conference Centre, stayed during a convention and the staff was great, the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. It was super convenient to be just a 1 minute walk from Shaw Center, so I could return to my room at any time. I will definitely stay here again.
Great view of the river and surrounding landscape. I know the Indian inspired dishes my tablemates ordered were excellent. The ribs I ordered were a bit dry. Very good and friendly service. If you ask you can park for $5 instead of the more expensive lot rate.
