Nice place but not many (any) people around on the day we were there. Went for lunch and had great service. Also, the food was very good. If you are looking for a place for a business lunch or off-site meeting for your corporate team, I highly this location. Really- give it a try.
The lounge is nice to sit in and listen to music and watch sports. I love the vegetation. Feels kinda tropical especially on a warm day and winter is nice too. I love the ambiance. Maribel is so kind and courteous. Kamal is a permanent fixture and an asset to the company.
Not Impressed!! We paid the same rate as everyone else in our group. We got a bare bones room. One queen bed and a TV and coffee maker. Only one packet of regular coffee and one decaffeinated for 2 people. No fridge, not microwave. I set up the ironing board so I had somewhere to put my things other than the dirty floor. Stains on the carpet - bad ones - dents in the wall and dust on the ledges, especially bad above the bed! When I complained, he agreed it was not the best room, but would not give me a discount or try to do anything to compensate us in any way.
UPDATE: After speaking to the manager of the property, any concerns myself and my partner had, were put to rest. We stayed at the hotel again on September 17, 2018 and had another wonderful experience. Friendly staff, and clean property. I really like that to get up to the sleeping quarters, you need to swipe your keyboard - great security feature. Rooms are quiet, despite being centrally located and beds are super comfy. We will continue to use this property whenever we are in Edmonton.......I have stayed at this hotel twice now - the first time was a wonderful experience but this time around was not. Checking in was good, friendly front desk employee. Room was nice, except that the air conditioner was making a loud squealing noise, which was okay - just turned it off. We decided to take a nap before going out for dinner and that is when the experience turned sour. While we were sleeping, a employee barged in our room, for no reason, and without knocking. (Perhaps this is a TMI but neither myself or my partner wear clothing while sleeping, which made this experience even more inappropriate) This was super troublesome and highly unprofessional. Left us feeling like our belongings were no longer safe to be left alone in the room, and uncomfortable about our own wellbeing.Brought it up with the front desk employee (different than check in) and while they offered to switch our room - they seemed very unconcerned that someone was coming into our room unannounced and without an explanation. Which leads us to wonder if this is a normal occurrence. Unsure if we will be staying at this property again after this.
It has a very interesting interior decor, in the main lobby and restaurant areas, and a large, well set-up conference room. The staff were professional and helpful. The snack selection was extensive, but I can't tell whether it was offered by the hotel or catered separately.
