Scott arrived on time, was extremely polite and respectful. He was very knowledgeable and was quick to identify the source of the problem and deploy the most economical and robust solution. Overall, the service was excellent and well worth the money.
I had a flooding emergency in my basement. The plumber team responded promptly and did a top job of getting to the bottom of the issue and resolving it..it was a dirty job and I could tell that they went well above and beyond to do the clean up. Thank you so much, this was really appreciated more than you know. i highly recommend them and will use them for future plumbing issues. Thank you...thank you, thank you :)
I needed to get three sinks hooked up and I contacted The Gentlemen Plumbers to do the job.Pros:1. Brian, the plumber dispatched to my place, did an excellent job. He made sure the job was done right and didn't leave until he was sure we were satisfied with the work.2. Brian also did a general inspection of the house for no extra charge and shared his knowledge/findings on several items such as the sump pump and drainage system.Cons:1. When I called to set up the job I was unable to get an estimate on the approximate cost of the job. They also charge a dispatch fee, even if no work is done. So basically, if you want an estimate you have to pay $70 for it. I'm told this is common in this industry, however, I still don't like starting a job without knowing approximately how much it will cost.2. The work cost more than I expected. Again, this wouldn't have been a problem if I had been able to obtain an approximate estimate up front. I understand that an estimate given over the phone may not be accurate, but at least that gives a ball-park figure to work with.
My wife is a realtor and had used Gentlemen Plumbers many times before with pretty good results. So when we had a clogged sink in our own home, we gave them a call. It didn't go very well. I didn't happen to be around when the "Gentlemen Plumbers" showed up, but she found the guy they sent to be quite patronizing. Then he quoted us $1000 to fix a clogged sink. We were pretty sure that was a load of BS, so we said no thanks and paid the $75 fee for the quote. A couple of days later we called Butler Plumbing, the plumber they sent was personable and he got the job done in a couple of hours for $300. Which is pretty much what we expected the job to cost. This company just lost a lot of business as she had booked them many times in the past. She had good experiences with some of their plumbers, hence 2 stars instead of 1.
Gentlemen Plumbers sent out Jesse to solve my bathroom sink problems. He was very polite and attentive to detail. He listened carefully to my concerns, and then got to work on the sink. He quickly found the source of the leak, which wasn't where I thought it was, and fixed the problem. He then looked at all the other plumbing in the house, at no further cost, and gave me a detailed account of what was still good and what might be a problem in the future. He then told me what these future repair or replacement jobs would cost. Jesse has a very friendly and professional approach, and he takes the time to explain things in layman's terms to the customer. I enjoyed doing business with Gentlemen Plumbers, and would definitely turn to them again in the future.
