Phenomenal service. Told them it was for a special evening while booking the reservation and they gave us a beautiful table beside the fireplace. The food is incredible, although I did find the risotto to be a little soupy. The highlight of our meal was a beautiful rib eye, that was cooked to perfection.
My mother used to tell me that when she was a kid, my immigrant grandfather would take her to Italian restaurants around Philadelphia that featured great italian food in an old school atmosphere, to the point that she didn't realize until she was in college that there were actually menus at restaurants and they just didnt bring you stuff. You get a menu at Sorrentino's, but I have a feeling that it's still a place my grandfather would be familiar with. Great standard Italian place, but with an old school dining room and staff that is all too missing from some modern places. Great pasta, meat, and fish options, with a few dishes with an Albertan twist, like the bison meatballs and great prawns. Service is great, and even if it's your first time you'll feel like family. Was a great find in Edmonton city centre, would visit again!
Excellent food and service. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, and seems genuinely pleased at how much we enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious - the caprese salad bursting with fresh flavours and the pappardelle with boar so rich and hearty. Well definitely be back.
First time here, and we had a wonderful time. Food was very good and fresh. The waiter was helpful and friendly (Mark). Would recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere for a date. There's even private sections for larger groups.
Visiting town and went for dinner last night. The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Our server was great and made the best recommendations. Dont even get me started on the food! The mushroom ravioli was amazing!! The atmosphere was really nice too. Will be going back before we leave!
