Best Italian food in Edmonton. HANDS DOWN. Seriously absolutely amazing food, and atmosphere. Sit at the bar where you can see your food prepared. Best seats in the house. Always sit there when I come in. They also make a killer Caesar drink, if your an alcoholic like I am ;).
It was my first time and for a joint birthday family dinner. When we showed up for our reservations, the hostess made a call to provide our party with the private dining room with no minimum charge, which was a nice gesture.Our waiter was super friendly and very knowledgeable when we had questions. However, he was hard to locate when we required service in between our meal. Though food was delicious and well presented, service was a bit slow. We had to wait long intervals in-between finishing the appetizers and serving the main course. Portions were generous (as should be considering what you pay) however, the two sides we had ordered, potatoes and mushrooms, were lukewarm at best. I felt that it may have been prepared early and left under a not-so-warming light.The restaurant was very kind in offering our party a complimentary large tiramisu for our birthday celebration though we had to wait 20 minutes for it to be served then it was accidentally tacked onto our bill at the end of the night. Our waiter apologized for the mistake and had the item removed prior to us paying.All in all, great atmosphere and excellent food. Definitely worth a try but I recommend a large group so you can order and try a bit of everything.
The experience was great, the food was incredible! We ordered the Gnudi, and that alone was enough to make the visit worth it. We had some leftover wild mushrooms after dinner, and it was suggested we take them home and add them to an omelette the next day, I was really excited to try that, but they forgot to bring them back after they went to pack them up and I didn't realize until we left :( Next time we go I'm going to insist they give my extra mushrooms as I still really want to try those out in an omelette :pHighly recommended!
Great dining experience. I didn't expect the venue to be a very fancy place, I even showed up with a hat on and they mentioned they have a no hat policy which didn't bother me. The service was excellent, our server explained the process of ordering and how the food was served family style, being a group of 5 hungry adult males, he knew the portions that we needed to order. The food was way above my expectations and without any delays as well. I even had a desert brownie which was a perfect size for 2 people. This restaurant would be a great dinner date for any couple or special occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Not one thing would I change about the experience we had here. All the food was absolutely delicious. The service was spot on! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It is pricey but I feel that it is totally worth the price!!! This place is a definite must try!
