I went into the store last night looking for a part for my daughters drum kit. They opened up the package to make sure it would work and then when it didn't, Adrian went to the back and pulled a part in order to make it work!! He didn't charge me any extra and it saved me a trip back to the store, very appreciative of the efforts!BTW in my hurry to get to work I realized that I accidentally took one of the drum keys off of the counter that we had used. I'll call you later so I can purchase it legitimately, my bad!
I took my 1980 T-15 here 2 months ago to get a tune up (neck split, really weird truss rod tools required) and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of work for the price. Knowledgeable staff and quick turnaround. Restrung, cleaned, glued neck, refinished the area and set up the guitar beautifully for 150$ish. Highly recommend
Have dealt with this Long & McQuade on many occasions, and always find their staff knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. I have never been made to feel stupid for coming in knowing nothing, and always leave feeling like I've learned something!
Ill never forget the time these guys tried to tell me my guitar wasnt worth more than 250$ and they even put a note on my account for other long and mcquades but luckily the guitar guy at white ave misread the note saying they only offered me 250$ like he literally thought it was a mistake as the guitar is worth more than that and he evaluated the same guitar for 450$ and I traded it in for credit towards another one at the whyte ave location. But what does that say about the guitar techs here, I knew they were wrong & they tried to act like they know anything about guitars, what they didnt know is Im obsessed with fender guitars so I know the value of a fender guitar as I constantly look at different prices all over the city & online. Its a shame really. Go to whyte ave if you are selling.& by the way they even brought the manager to tell me that my guitar wasnt worth more than 250 funny the exact same company within the same week gave me almost double the money & I checked in about a week later and they had already sold my old guitar easy and quick. What else can I say, these guys are the sleezy cars salesmen of the guitar world here in Edmonton as far as Im concerned.
We have purchased our musical supplies and rented various instruments from Long & McQuade South Edmonton for some time now. The experience has been consistently good. Today, we stopped by to seek advice on a saxophone repair and were pleasantly surprised when Robin in Wind Instruments facilitated a quick tune up for us. Thanks also to the L & M technician who took the time to do the tune up !Highly recommend L & M to everyone !
