Dr. Riyaz is a very kind and easy-going surgeon. He makes everyone feel welcome as they enter the OR for surgery by introducing himself and taking time to talk with patients before laying them on the bed for procedure. I think this alone makes patients feel more at ease. Dr. Riyaz takes the time to be sure everyone is educated and comfortable with Lasik beforehand which is important for professionals of this nature to do. His bedside manner is awesome, he likes to talk patients through everything as it happens so their are no surprises. This is good, especially for people who are nervous. I very much enjoy Dr. Riyaz's approach and would recommend him to friends and family.
Excellent eye doctor. Wait times can be long, but Dr Riyaz has a policy where he always fits in patients of his if they have an emergency, no matter how booked up he is. Two hours of my time is a small price to pay for quick access to a specialist, especially one as caring and highly recommended as him.
Dr. Riyaz is one of the most personable surgeons that I have met; his demeanour with patient's is second to none. He will err on the side of caution, always relaying what treatment will provide the patient with the highest chance of success and, most importantly, the safest outcome.
